$30 trick versus $1088
I met my friend Irene recently, she told me that year ago she was looking for a good deal in internet. Someone published a advertisement on how to make money in internet as long but must paid $30 first. She innocently send $30 to the fellow, in return, the guy told her to do the same thing. Cannot believe this kind of trick still work. I guess we always hopet that a small investment, no big risk involved, might churn out something good. This is similar when I 'throw in'$1088 for a 'master' to come to my place to 'suck' the dragon well water from neighbouring temple..at the end, i didn't get anything big too. In addition, we paid around another $1000 for the luck pendant. This world is full of con men.
Coin counterfeiting
Year ago, I read someone who tried to bring in counterfeit $1 coin into Singapore but he was caught. I had the same idea but didn't take actions. This is a great idea but the craftmanship must be good. The reason why this fellow fails is because he used lousy mould and material and one look at the fake coins, it can be spotted easily. To perfect this illegal trade, one must find a high skill mould maker plus use a similar material. For all we know, coin counterfeit is much easier than notes as there are no tell tale signs. Also, the value involved is too small, authority might not take a good look at it. To check whether the coin can pass the test, just put any fake coin into any coin deposit machine and if it is rejected, it fails the test.
